Dear Students of University,
We, the Student’s Union, are writing to you to emphasize the importance of refusing waste and practicing thrift. As we all know, the world is undergoing a global pandemic and the economy is under tremendous pressure. In such a situation, it is our obligation to be mindful of our consumption and not to waste resources.
The most basic way to practice thrift is to develop a frugal mindset and to be mindful of our daily expenses. We should always ask ourselves if we really need the item or service that we are about to purchase and if it is truly worth the cost. Additionally, we should start to adopt sustainable lifestyles and to reduce our ecological footprints.
In order to reduce waste, we must also pay attention to our consumption of food. We should start to prepare meals ourselves instead of relying on takeouts and delivery services, which are often wasteful. We should also make sure to not throw away food that is still edible and instead learn to store food properly and to make use of leftovers.
We hope that our message will be taken to heart by all of you and that we can all come together to refuse to waste and practice thrift. Together, we can make a difference and create a better future for everyone.

I am writing to express my opinion about the recommendation to impose vehicle use restrictions in our city to solve road congestion.

As we are all aware, the majority of commuters in our city rely on their vehicles to get to and from work, and it is important to consider the potential inconvenience that this could cause to people. If a car restriction was to be imposed, I believe it is important to provide an alternative means of transport for commuters, such as an improved public transport network or additional bike lanes.
Furthermore, I think it is important to consider the economic implications of such restrictions. Introducing a car restriction could have an adverse effect on businesses that rely on customers travelling by car, and it could lead to job losses, especially in the hospitality and retail industries.
In conclusion, I believe that any car restrictions should be implemented carefully and in such a way that it minimises the impact on the local community.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to make a formal complaint about a travel agency that I recently made a trip with and the guide that was supplied for us.
The trip was arranged and advertised as a 5-star experience, however, we found that the service was far from satisfactory. Firstly, and most obviously, our guide was impolite and seemed to lack proper knowledge about the sites and attractions we visited. Furthermore, the existence of hidden costs and non-inclusion of advertised services disenchanted most of the participants in the tour. This rendered our experience to a great extent as dismal.
I suggest that the Tourism Administration looks into this issue and enforces a higher standard of service from travel agencies and their supply of guides. Regulations should be imposed in order to ensure that customer satisfaction is a priority and that substandard services are not provided.
The quality of services should be regularly monitored and all customer complaints should be taken with utmost seriousness and attended to immediately.
I am hoping for a swift resolution to this matter and that the relevant authorities take appropriate and effective measures to prevent discrepancies of this kind from occurring again.

As parent, it’s heartwarming to see our children grow up and become successful. But this is not a dream we have to have for our children; it is a natural process that we must encourage and develop.The danger of this style of parenting is that it neglects the importance of a child’s social and emotional development. Children are not robots that can be programmed to succeed; they need good guidance, mentoring and healthy life lessons.
To ensure our children’s success we must pause to ask ourselves how we can more effectively foster their development. Our goal should be to create an environment in which our children can thrive, not just one in which they can have one academic achievement. To do so, we must be more mindful of our children’s academic, social, and emotional needs. We must strive to ensure that our children do not only receive visual guidance, but also build intellectual strength for their future.
One practical way we can do this is by encouraging our children in their academic studies, but helping to broaden their interests in hobbies, art, sport, music and culture. By doing this, we will ensure children have the opportunity to physically, mentally, and creatively grow.
Ultimately, raising children takes hard work but it’s work we must all do to ensure the happiness and success of our children.

Some people like to enjoy the process during the journey of life, while others prefer to enjoy the final result.
The process of life isn’t about the effort that you put in, it is about the challenge and joy. Enjoying the process is about experiencing joy during the journey that life takes us on. Fully embracing each day, rather than waiting for a big event or milestone to achieve a certain level of satisfaction. Celebrating the small successes and having fun whilst making steady progress towards the long-term goals.
The idea of enjoying the result is focused solely on achieving success. It is the feeling of accomplishment when the hard work pays off and the final result is achieved. This feeling is picked up in the long-term, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
My suggestion is to balance the journey and the final result. Balance the idea that you can enjoy success when the right efforts are taken and the right goals are achieved yet also to savour the progress and milestones along the way. This way, you will remain focused, motivated and engaged throughout the journey and all the way to the result. Furthermore, combining the two in this way will create a scenario in which you will be more apt to stay on track, and take timely action, making your goals more attainable.

They are not as spry or as strong as they used to be and the extra effort on their part, to stand, takes a toll.
